Bennett finished second in the NCAA 800 one month earlier.
Florida graduate Kristina Bratton at the start of the race.
Hazel Clark (right) held a slight lead over her sister-in-law, Jearl Miles-Clark, on the first lap.
Jearl is married to Hazel's brother and coach, J.J. Clark.
Bennett, Jen Toomey, and Fields follow the pace set by the Clarks.
Ashley Wysong hangs back.
Jearl Miles-Clark won the second semifinal in 2:00.33, .03 ahead of...
...her sister-in-law. Kameisha Bennett finished third in 2:00.37 and Sasha Spencer also advanced.
Miles-Clark congratulates Bennett, who was coached by J.J. Clark at Tennessee.
Sasha Spencer finished fourth in 2:01.58 and advanced to the final.
Clark checks the scoreboard.
Kristina Bratton finished sixth in 2:05.26.
In the shocker of the day, Jen Toomey finished fifth in 2:03.89 and did not advance to the final.
Ashley Wysong finished eighth in 2:09.88.
Toomey seemed upbeat as she explained the setbacks she had encountered since winning the USA Indoor 800m and 1,500m titles.
