Two-time NCAA 800m champion Alice Schmidt ran the 800m leg for North Carolina.
Ashley Caldwell ran the 800m leg of the DMR for UCLA.
Maura McCusker ran the third leg for Georgetown.
Nicole Cook split approximately 2:04.1 for Tennessee, extending their lead.
Notre Dame's Kerry Meagher leads BYU's Julie Cameron.
Cook handed off to Lindsay Hyatt with no one else even in sight.
Hyatt had run the mile prelims earlier in the evening and was the fastest non-qualifier.
Stanford and Michigan handed off nearly simultaneously in second and third.
Marina Muncan anchored (1,600m) for Villanova.
Colleen Kelly anchors for Georgetown. With so many teams on the track (12) the handoffs were a bit...
...of a mess. BYU's anchor, Michaela Mannova, got the baton out in lane five.
Meanwhile, up front, Lindsay Hyatt of Tennessee continued to hold a big lead...
...but those behind her (led by Stanford's Sara Bei) had the advantage of visible competition.
Muncan quickly moved Villanova up into contention for second place.
Megan Johnson anchors for Notre Dame.
Megan Metcalfe anchors for West Virginia.
Ann Gaffigan, a senior, anchors for Nebraska.
Nebraska was making its first appearance in the NCAA DMR.
In the fall, Nebraska qualified for the NCAA XC Championships as a team for the first time since 1999.
Lindsay Hyatt of Tennessee continues to hold a seemingly-insurmountable lead.
