Helen Hofstede finished 13th (11:20.73) in the first steeple prelim.
NAU's Ida Nilsson leads the field on the first lap of the second steeplechase prelim.
Also right up front is BYU's Michaela Mannova.
Nilsson had finished second in this event at the NCAA meet two years in a row, so she was really...

UNC's Carol Henry finished fourth in 10:17.97 and advanced
Boston College's Jennifer Donovan (3rd, 10:16.28) advanced.
Arkansas' Maureen Scott.
Indiana's Audrey Geisler.
Colorado's Natalie Florence (12th, 10:48.50).
Columbia's Delilah DiCrescenzo (13th, 11:06.90).
Arens finished 11th in 10:40.08.
Nilsson and Mannova (2nd, 10:16.07) continue to lead.
Henry (right) and Donovan run 3-4.
NAU senior Jinny Hanifan finished fifth in 10:18.96 and advanced.
Purdue junior Amber Ferner.
Arizona State redshirt freshman Amy Hastings finished 10th in 10:33.69.
Nilsson takes a solo lead.
Ferner finished sixth in 10:21.80 and advanced to the final.
