With one lap to go in the first of two 1,500m prelims, Marlies Overbeeke of Virginia Tech...	...and Hilary Edmondson of Wisconsin led the chase pack, with Tiffany McWilliams out front.	Duke's Shannon Rowbury, UNC's Erin Donohue, and UCLA's Melissa McBain were in good position to qualify.	Stanford's Arianna Lambie had been swallowed up by the pack, but she was still in contention to advance.	McWilliams dominated, winning in 4:11.64. She even had time to turn around and watch her competitors as they finished.
Edmondson, Kerry Meagher, Donohue, Overbeeke, Valentina Medina, and Melissa McBain (4:20.51) all advanced.	Donohue checks the scoreboard.	Lambie, surprisingly, did not advance. She finished eighth in 4:21.56.	McWilliams showed that she was doing just fine, despite her regional loss.	Overbeeke fnished fifth in 4:18.82.
Lambie had run a 4:11 1,500m split at Penn Relays earlier in the spring.	Donohue finished fourth in 4:18.44.	Meagher finished third in 4:18.23.	Jessica Eldridge finished ninth in 4:23.19 and did not advance.	UCLA's Alejandra Barrientos finished 12th in 4:25.72.
Mississippi State teammates McWilliams and McPherson (13th, 4:34.09).	Medina finished sixth in 4:19.09.	Edmondson finished second in 4:17.54.	Shannon Rowbury had an off day, finishing 11th in4:25.21.	The second 1,500m prelim gets underway and Florida State's Natalie Hughes gets jostled out of the pack.
