Nilsson has been hot this season, coming in here with the fastest time in the 1,500 (4:14.11), as well as a 2:03 800 under her belt.

With just over 400 meters to go, it's a tight race.
The top four runners in each heat plus the runners with the next four fastest times would advance.
Because of the slow pace here, it appeared that the only safe bet was to finish in the top four.
