All three time qualifiers came out of this heat - DeLeon (2:04.04), Schmidt (2:04.35) and Kalabova (2:04.53). Burgess (2:05.04) and Pardue (2:06.48) did not advance. Beth Fonner of NC State jumps out to the lead in the first 100 meters.	The Stanford percussion section.	Fonner, a junior at NC State, came in with a 33:39 qualifying time.	Michigan State freshman Jamie Krzyminski runs in the pack.	BYU sophomore Lindsey Thomsen.
Fonner runs alone in the lead.	Maria Cicero runs in second.	Cicero, a freshman at Boston College, came in with a 33:53.86 qualifying time.	Kristin Price runs in third.	Cicero leads the chase pack.
