Fride Vullum and 10k champ Amy Yoder Begley lead the
5,000m final in the early going.
2. Vullum and Begley are joined by Gillian Palmer
(left), Kristin Price (center) and Lauren Fleshman (far
right).
3. Fleshman, followed by Stanford teammate Sally
Glynn and Texas A&M's Melissa Gulli.
4. Still in a tightly-bunched pack in the first
mile.

6. L-R: Ann Marie Brooks (one of the 1,500m/5k
doublers in the race), Begley, Kara Grgas-Wheeler, Andreina
Byrd and Fleshman.

9. Sally Glynn placed 2nd in the 1,500m earlier
in the day and went on to finish 4th here.

and former national champion.
13-15. Defending champ. Grgas-Wheeler leads.
She came in with the fastest seed time (15:41) but has
been struggling with injuries.
16. 2001 NCAA indoor 5k champ. Jodie Hughes.
17. The 1-3 placers from the steeple - Elizabeth
Jackson (74), Rebecca Bennion (409) and Kelly MacDonald
(34) run with Kristin Price.
18. Glynn and Jazwinski (12th, 16:13.09).
