Lena Nilsson, Erin Merten and Ysanne Williams at the
start of the 800m final.
2. Holly Haguewood (left) and Brigita Langerholc.
Haguewood finished last in her semifinal heat after
she and Kamille Bratton tripped over an unsecured
rail on the final turn of the race. After a protest,
both runners were allowed to advance to the final,
meaning that there were 10 finalists instead of the
usual eight.
3. Nilsson, Merten and Williams again

Mary Jayne Harrelson and Sheena Gooding.
5. Langerholc and indoor 800m champ. Svetlana
Badrankova lead just past 400m.

Korene Hinds follow.
7. Williams, Hinds and Nilsson.
