Results

		1. In semifinal #1 of the steeplechase, Arkansas' Lilli Kleinmann went straight to the front of the race, followed by Andrea Kremer of Miami-Ohio. 2. Arizona State's Kelly MacDonald joins Kleinmann at the front. 3. MacDonald and Kleinmann continue to lead. 4. Indoor mile runner-up Lesley Higgins, followed by NCAA XC 5th placer Lisa Aguilera. 5. Kleinmann (4th), Nan Evans (1st) and Kremer (5th) advanced to the final along with MacDonald and Courtney Meldrum. 6. Semifinal #2. Tara Haynes and Susanne Strunz lead. 7. American Record holder Elizabeth Jackson looked completely relaxed throughout the entire race. 8. Missouri sophomore Kerry Hils and Arkansas-Little Rock freshman Ida Nilsson lead. 9. L-R: Laura Turner, Kerry Hils, Ida Nilsson, Katie Sabino and Rebecca Bennion all advanced to the final. 10. BYU senior Tara Haynes ran in the front of the pack early on in the race but she fell off the track and injured her leg. She got up and started to make up ground on the pack, but fell again at the water pit and had to be helped off the track. 11. Nilsson and Colorado State sophomore Marget Larson. 12. Jackson finished 2nd to Bennion in an "easy" 10:11.72.
