The field was relatively even on the first lap, with runners stretching out as far as lane three.
R-L: Aneta Lemiesz, Cook, Sinclair, Neisha Bernard-Thomas, Alice Schmidt, Nikeya Green, Lyne and Laura Gerber.
Schmidt passed through 800m in 59.42...
...with the rest of the field very close behind.
Alice Schmidt and Becky Lyne lead.
Down the homestretch, defending champion Alice Schmidt led...
...with Bernard-Thomas, Gerber and Lyne trying to mount a challenge.
Schmidt held on to her lead, winning her second-straight title in a PR 2:01.16.
Bernard-Thomas pulled off a minor upset coming up for second (2:01.75)...
...just edging out Lyne (2:01.76) and Gerber (2:02.25).
Bernard-Thomas' 8 points helped increase LSU's lead over South Carolina to 10 points.
