MEN'S PHOTOS

It looked like defending champion Lena Nilsson was going to use her trademark kick to blow past Tiffany McWilliams on the last lap...
...But McWilliams fought back and used her own kick to pull away from L. Nilsson in the final 200 meters.
McWilliams' winning time of 4:06.75 was a personal best by almost four seconds and broke Suzy Favor Hamilton's 13-year-old meet record of 4:08.26.
L. Nilsson, a Swede, finished 2nd in 4:09.86 with Christin Wurth 3rd (4:10.49) and Canada's Courtney Inman 4th (4:10.93).
Bethany Brewster finished 6th (4:11.53) and Marina Muncan fifth (4:11.23).
BYU senior Jamie Cottle finished 7th (4:11.67).
NAU freshman J. Nilsson faded to 12th on the final lap, finishing in 4:18.13.
Georgetown junior Treniere Clement finished 11th in 4:16.29.
Kansas State senior Amy Mortimer ran a PR of 4:12.39 which amazingly only placed her 10th.
Christin Wurth's 4:10.49 broke her own school record.
Malindi Elmore's 4:11.78 broke Regina Jacobs' Stanford record.
McWilliams was directed to the infield shortly after the race for a TV interview.
