Mt. Sac Relays: Day One | Day Two | Day Three (Walnut, CA) Day One: Deena Drossin wins the two mile in 9:35.89, Nicole Teter finishes second (9:49.09). Courtney Babcock wins the 5,000 (15:10.66) with Kathy Butler second (15:17.59) and Lauren Fleshman the top collegian in seventh (15:35.59). Maggie Chan wins the 10,000 (32:39.88) with Zolia Gomez-Solis the top collegian in fourth (32:47.31) and Jodie Hughes the top Divison I runner in sixth (32:50.80). Day Two: Erin Belger wins the collegiate 800 (2:04.60) and Courtney Inman wins the collegiate 1,500 (4:20.58) over Bethany Brewster (4:20.66), who also finished second at the Pomona-Pitzer Invite on Friday (see below). Mollie DeFrancesco wins the steeplechase in what would be a world-leader of 10:02.85, but the water pit was short of the IAAF requirements.Janelle Kraus wins the 5,000 (16:34.22) with Melanie Matthews of Virginia the top collegian in second (16:45.54).
