R-L: Bratton, Cook, Sinclair, Heimann and Becky Lyne.
Approaching 600 meters, Lena Nilsson (behind Lyne) is involved in more jostling.
With just over one lap to go, it's still a tightly-bunched group.
Kristina Bratton won semi-final #1 in 2:08.48.
Nicole Cook of Tennesse took second (2:08.57).
UCLA's Lena Nilsson dove for the finish line and barely made it through to the final.
Nilsson's 2:08.59 made her the last runner to advance on time.
Katie Poindexter (left) and Beata Rudzinska get ready for semi-final two.
L-R: Rachel Sturtz, Maggie Vessey, Nikeya Green, Rudinzka, Alice Schmidt, Poindexter, Marian Burnett and Tiffany Burgess.
The pack approaches the 200-meter mark.
R-L: Burgess, Poindexter, Green, Vessey and Sturtz.
Approaching the 400-meter mark, Wake Forest's Nikeya Green tumbled to the track.
Green's fall affected everyone who was near her, but no one was disqualified.
As of Saturday morning, there was no word as to whether Green had filed a protest...
...and there was no indication that she would be allowed to advance to the final.
With two laps to go, Burgess leads Burnett and the rest of the field.
