Powell, a senior, had yet to decide where she would attend college, but she is considering Stanford, where her older brother Andy goes.
Staci Honeyman is already a four-time North Dakota state cross country champion and she's a junior.

Lauren Blankenship of Georgia.
Kate Merrill of North Carolina.
Merrill was one of 13 juniors in the race, the most represented class.
Nikki Bohnsack, another junior, struggles with her injury.
Heading down the home stretch, it's official, Zoe Nelson is on her way to a national title.
Nelson moved into the lead going up the hill for the first time. After that she just continued to pull away.
Nelson finished 20th here a year ago as a freshman.
