PRE-RACE PHOTOS: FRIDAY'S COURSE TOUR

The last time a Saratoga HS freshman ran on this course - Erin Davis in 1993 - she won.
Ari Lambie had a convincing win at the Northeast Regional but came down with some sort of bug in San Diego and wasn't at full strength.
Maddie Schueler of Kentucky.
Kate Merrill of North Carolina.
Kate Niehaus of South Carolina.
Niehaus and Blood were the only two ninth graders to qualify this year.
Alabama sophomore Tara Lenn.
Virginia senior Cara Kiernan.
Kiernan had a great day -- after finishing 14th here, she found out that she had been accepted early to Yale.
Natalie Picchetti, a junior at Reagan High School in San Antonio, Texas.
Rachael Forish, a junior at Lamar High School in Arlington, TX.
None of the South Regional qualifiers had ever competed here before.
Staci Honeyman, a junior at Scranton High School in North Dakota.
Nikki Bohnsack, a junior at Rockford High School in Rockford, Michigan.
Sunni Olding, a junior from Minster, Ohio.
Olding, like many, was making her first appearance at the National Finals.
Katelyn Kaltenbach had been here before, but only as a spectator.
Katie Harrington, a junior at Carmel High School in Carmel, Indiana.
Michelle Sikes of Ohio had qualified in 2000 but not 2001 so she was happy to be back.
Amber Smith, a junior from Ishpeming, Michigan, was the Midwest Regional runner-up.
