The Olympic Development mile. Leaders include (L-R) Maureen Ferris, Sarah Schwald, Carmen Douma, Carrie Tollefson, Jamie King and Tracy Robertson. Though Tracy Robertson held a slight lead over the field, a handful of runners stayed in contention until the last lap. Robertson, followed by Schwald, Tollefson, Douma, King, and #15 Jill Snyder.
Ferris, followed by #11 Emily Furia (William & Mary), #10 Christine Kane (St. Joseph's) and #14 Gladees Prieur. The pack, still following Robertson. Robertson anchored Arkansas' winning 4x1500 team the day before with a 4:16.4 split. Prieur of Moving Comfort New York finished 10th in 4:46.13.
Schwald put the hammer down and won by more than 4 seconds in 4:34.02. The collegiate 4x800m. L-R: Kim Chatman, Stephanie Magley, Bridget Hatch, Nickay Penado, Neema Payne and Kamille Bratton. R-L: Bratton, Ashley Couper, Penado, Hatch, Magley, Bobbie Jo Munson, Chatman and Summer Shaw. Leg two, R-L: Kristina Bratton, Lindsay Hyatt, Tyrona Heath, Jessica Marr and Janine Jones. Shalane Flanagan made up some ground with her 2:08.7 split.
Leg three, L-R: DeAnna Cole, Tiffany Burgess, Jill Laurendeau and Katie Hotchkiss. Beth George runs just behind the lead pack. Erin Merten held off Georgetown's Sasha Spencer. Their splits were 2:03.5 and 2:03.2, respectively. Lena Mathews runs the anchor leg for Cornell. Alice Schmidt of UNC (4th) anchored in 2:04.2, Maurica Carlucci of Stanford sealed up 5th for her team.
