Into My Life Poem

Into My Life
By Eileen Ramage

You came into my life

Like a soft summer breeze.

The moment almost passed

It swept by with such ease.

Though brief the encounter

It awoke thoughts of you.

Your lips touched mine

Like a soft morning dew.

But what started so gently

Soon grew in strength.

I shivered and trembled

I knew what this meant.

A desire within me

To be close to you.

I felt bewitched

There was nothing I could do.

But I had to part

Then go on my way

With a longing in my heart

To meet another day.
