Suzy Favor Hamilton in semifinal #1 of the 1,500m.
She finished second in 4:24.84 to advance to the final.

With
just over 100m to go, Favor Hamilton is in control
of the race with Sally Glynn and Janet Trujillo right
behind. Glynn just missed qualifying while Mary Jayne
Harrelson and Trujillo came up for the 3rd and 4th
qualifying spots.

Jacobs leads Stephanie Best in semifinal two. The
first four in each heat plus the next four fastest
times advanced to the final.

Hein, another Indiana Invader, sets the pace (she
would finish 5th in 4:19.34 for the first time qualifier),
Sarah Schwald, winner of semi #2 in 4:18.34, follows.

two was by far the faster of the two with all eight
runners in the heat advancing to the final. Here Shayne
Culpepper (3rd, 4:18.48) leads Kim McGreevy (6th,
4:20.40).
