Davis just finished her freshman year at Southern Illinois.
Down the homestretch, Patten continues to lead.
Patten held off all of her challengers, led wire-to-wire and won in 2:07.60.
Nickoley finished second in 2:08.13.

Georgeanne Way finished third in 2:09.95, just behind Jenna Timinsky (2:09.64).
Collier Lawrence of Reno (NV) High School jumps out to an early lead in the junior 3,000m final.

Notre Dame freshman Molly Huddle had taken over the lead by the second lap.

This was one of the most competitive fields of the junior meet with several athletes doubling back from other events.
