Gordon Bakoulis, a New Yorker, got a lot of cheers as she ran through Central Park.
Leteyesus Berhe, also a New Yorker, finished 46th in 3:01:22.
Janina Malska, yet another New Yorker, was the first female finisher from the mass start, she finished 18th overall in 2:45:42.
Makiko Hotta, who also started with the masses, finished 19th in 2:46:50.
Emily LeVan of Maine finished 21st in 2:48:58. Her run was particularly impressive because she had won the Maine Marathon...
...less than a month earlier in 2:47:38, not giving her much time to recover.
Nathalie Vasseur of France finished 22nd in 2:49:58.
Guadalupe Garcia of Mexico finished 23rd in 2:50:49.
Dorris Correa of New Jersey finished 26th in 2:52:55.
Malska and Correa's strong finishes helped give Warren Street the team title over the Central Park Track Club.
Elizabeth Seeley of Pennsylvania finished 28th in 2:54:33.
Seeley again.
Julia Stamps, a former high school national champion and Stanford standout made her marathon debut here.
Though she didn't train seriously - for her - she finished 30th in 2:54:47.
M. Reymonenq Maggiolini of France ran well in the closing miles to finished 27th in 2:53:50.
Kimberly Duclos of Massachusetts finished 33rd in 2:56:17.
Duclos again.
Monique Bruins of the Netherlands finished 32nd in 2:55:36.
Gillian Horovitz finished first in the 45-49 age group and 35th overall in 2:56:51.
Mercedes Gil, 40, of Colorado finished 36th in 2:57:56
