9. With one to go, Suzy Favor Hamilton makes
her first appearance at the front of the pack.

12. Favor Hamilton unleashed her powerful kick,
winning by almost 3 seconds in 4:06.93.
13. Though she was about 9 seconds off of her
personal best, Favor Hamilton was thrilled with the
victory in her first race back since her Olympic Games
mishap.
14. She later told reporters that she had tears
in her eyes as she crossed the finish line.
15. Poland's Lidia Chojecka (3rd, 4:09.88)
and Vasilyeva (2nd, 4:09.75) battle it out.
16. Favor Hamilton's training partner, Sarah
Schwald, was 8th in 4:12.31.
