Lornah Kiplagat, who's been on a hot streak on the roads this summer, won her third straight Falmouth title.
Kiplagat ran 35:13, just 11 seconds off her own course record, after going out in 4:54 (only two seconds behind the men).
Marathon world record holder Catherine Ndereba finished second in 36:00.
Milena Glusac of Fallbrook, CA ran a strong race to finish third and was the top American.
Glusac recorded a 10k PR of 32:13 en route to a 36:35 finish.
Glusac was quite pleased with her third-place run.
Colleen De Reuck finished fourth in 37:25.
Kim Fitchen finished fifth in 37:27.
Fitchen lives in Palo Alto, CA and trains with the Nike Farm Team.
Esther Kiplagat, second at last week's Beach to Beacon 10k finished sixth in 37:39.
Carrie Tollefson of Team USA Minnesota finished ninth in 38:23.
Tollefson, who finished 11th in the 4k at this year's World Cross Country Championships, was making her first appearance in Falmouth.
Blake Russell, now living in Acton, MA, ran a great race to finish seventh in 38:15.
Libbie Hickman, who returned to racing in June after taking time off to have a baby, finished eighth in 39:19.
Katie McGregor of Team USA Minnesota finished 10th in 38:44.
Tatyana Pozdnyakova, 47, of the Ukraine won the masters race and finished 11th among women in 38:53.
Jeanne Hennessy finished 13th in 39:15.
Nicole Jefferson finished 12th in 39:14.
Amy Lyman ran a great race after finishing sixth in the mile the previous night.
She finished 14th here in 39:35.
