HIGHLIGHTS

Deena Kastor won the 2004 Circle of Friends New York Mini 10K in 31:44.
Kastor will return to New York in November to run the ING New York City Marathon.
23-year-old Kate O'Neill continued her spectacular season by finishing second here...
...in 32:38. She pulled away from Colleen De Reuck and Jen Rhines in the final two miles.
Rhines, who will compete in her second Olympic Games this summer, finished third in 32:44.
De Reuck, who turned 40 10 days after she won the Olympic Marathon Trials in April...
...set a U.S. Masters record of 32:50 here and finished fourth overall.
Katie McGregor, an Olympic hopeful at 10,000m, lost her shoe with about a half mile to go.
She picked it up and carried it in, and still managed to finish fifth in 33:38.
Laura O'Neill (Kate's twin sister) finished sixth in 34:06.
Kathy Newberry, 25, of Williamsburg, Virginia, finished...
...seventh in 34:09.
Heather Hanscom, who finished sixth at the Olympic Marathon Trials in April, finished eighth here in 34:34.
Magdalena Lewy Boulet, who is easing back into training after finishing fifth at the Trials, finished ninth here in 34:49.
Claudia Camargo, who represents the West Side Runners, finished 10th in 35:00.
Anne Kugler of Urban Athletics and New York City ran a great race to finish...
...11th in 35:05, after running 40:44 here a year ago!
Sonja Friend-Uhl, 33, of West Palm Beach, Florida, finished 12th in 35:19.
Friend-Uhl finished ninth a the USA 5K Championships one week earlier.
Alemtsehay Misganaw, 23, of NYC finished 13th in 35:26.
