In a safe and supportive atmosphere, persons coping with mental illnesses are assisted as they cross the bridge from the hospital wards to the regular work-force. For less gravel and more distance, turn north from #55 at Smeaton onto Highway #106 into Narrow Hills Provincial Park, then West onto #913 to Piprell Lake Road. FRIDAY -Base camp will be set up (4:00 PM) at Piprell Lake Campground (overflow) -Shooting around campground -Informal group discussion/ supper -9:00 PM Slide Show Everyone is invited to showcase their work! (From Prince Albert take highway #2 North and turn at Christopher Lake on highway #263, 8km past Sandy Lake is the race start point - most southern access to the Freight Trail). Waiver signing at 10:00am - Run starts at 11:00am sharp. A 12km and 28km cross country run in the Prince Albert National Park. The run follows a bush road. This road has some branches, rocks, bumbs, and patches of tall grass so runners will have to run with more care than during a road race. It is recommended that participants carry water and nourishment. $1 entry fee for runners over 16 years old to cover race cost and Gatorade. No medals, no timing. Just a run in the Park. A potluck will be held after the race at Sandy Lake.
