  • May 2-27: Oil and Watercolor Paintings by George Delorme
    Opening: Saturday, May 3, 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.
This is an exhibition of landscape paintings of the United States and Canada done in oils and watercolours. Mr. Delorme is a self-taught artist who took an interest in oil painting twenty-five years ago. He enjoyed experimenting in mixing his own colours to achieve more depth in his landscape paintings. Approximately fifteen years ago, he attempted watercolours using the wet on wet technique. He found this technique the least controllable but exciting. He never knew what the outcome would be with the diffusion and colour interactions. Mr. Delorme was born and raised in Prince Albert. He was a manager at Eaton's for over thirty-five years. Twelve years ago, he took early retirement. Since retiring, he seems to have less and less time to devote to his art.
