On February 14 her car was found in a ditch on the Birch Hill highway. The vehicle is in perfect condition with the exception of some "brush-like" scratches on the rubber around one window. The only missing items were a pair of skating skis (her name was printed on: Valerie Horner) and other minor items. This is not a very common vehicle being a dark green SUBARU car (model IMPREZA): www.subaru.com... now she is asking please not to report her to the police while she is driving her car... PLEASE JUST HONK AND WAVE. The plate number is 742CMA.

Beyond Familiar Trails Landscape Paintings by Dorothy Schmidt This exhibition is a collection of landscape paintings reflecting the artist’s appreciation and reverence of nature in all its glory, its drama and its subtleties. Dorothy Schmidt has strong roots in rural Saskatchewan. She has lived with her husband on a farm near Medstead for the past forty years. She has worked in many mediums with many different subjects. Most of her time is devoted to painting the beautiful Saskatchewan landscape in oil, often inspired by the hills, woodland and creek near her home. The “Winter Festival Juried Art Show” is a showcase for local and regional artists and fulfills a central role in the region, as it provides the only professionally juried show that serves the area. The “Winter Festival Juried Art Show” is the only juried exhibition in the province that displays all the works entered for a one week period. The show is an important venue for new and emerging artists in the community and allows the gallery to feature these artists and to provide them with feedback on their work. The format includes group and individual critiques.
