Chantelle Dron (behind Andersen) finished second in 4:30.92.	Kristina Smith of Alaska finished third in 4:33.26 to advance.	Angela Talarico ran 4:47.03 and did not advance.	Others to advance were Bridget Duffy (at left above, 4:34.29), Megan Manthe (4:34.60), Theresa Fath (4:34.70) and Alejandra Barrientos (4:37.23).	Future Cal teammates Duffy (a recent high school graduate) and Maclise.
