Mary Jayne Harrelson finished third (2:09.62) and grabbed the last qualifying spot for the final.
The high school girls' 4x800 relay turned out to be one of the highlights of the evening.
New Rochelle and Woodrow Wilson (NJ) high schools lead early on.
Keziah Fernandez of Boys & Girls High School in Brooklyn leads on leg two.
Pearl River NY's second leg.
Boys & Girls' Fernandez battles with Bronxville's Michelle Rorke.
Fernandez was timed in 2:16.70, the slowest leg for Boys & Girls.
Rorke, a sub-5:00 miler, takes the lead.
