A.P. Randolph High School's Natasha Hastings was targeting Tasha Downing's HS record of 1:12.05.
Jearl Miles-Clark (right) was targeting either Olga Nazarova's world record of 1:07.67...
...or the American Record of 1:08.82, held by her sister-in-law, Joetta Clark.
With just over 100 meters to go, Miles-Clark led...
...but Pompey measured her effort better, winning in 1:10.06.
Miles-Clark was well off both records; she finished second in 1:11.24.
Natasha Hastings, however, did get her record, she finished last in the four-runner field...
...but set a new National High School record of 1:11.84.
