The Kyla Art Group was formed in 1979 by a collection of Prince Albert and district artists under the direction of the well known Saskatchewan artist Garry Thurber. They chose the name KYLA, meaning "of the forest", because is seamed to best describe the Prince Albert region which provided much of the subject matter for their work. The show is presented by the Kiwanis Club of Prince Albert. This is their first group photo after 24 years...

Vera Bliss
(Honorary Member)

She paints tree and landscape scenes of Northern Saskatchewan.



Angie

She uses different media: sculpturing in clay and soapstone, painting with acrylics and watercolour.



Dennis

He uses watercolours to depict Saskatchewan scenaries.




Christine

She uses pastel for subjects of fruit, flowers and figures.




Marni

She enjoys acrylics for scenery or pictures of children.




Frances

She works in all media and subjects in her studio at Spruce Home.




Fred

He works with watercolour and his favourite subjects are grain elevators, old churches and farm buildings.




Lynne

She enjoys watercolour and her painting are inspired by the beauty of nature.




Dwayne

He has worked with wood all his life. Every piece is an original work of art created from a unique piece of wood.
