Paddling the North Saskatchewan River - October 6, 2002
Sound track: Mascagni, Cavalliera Rusticana, Prelude

A nice day fully loaded of the colours of fall. A perfect day for a canoe trip on the North Saskatchewan River, starting 25km West of Prince Albert.

The participants are fully dressed for a cold morning.

Overnight the first snow showed up over the city roofs.

Time to get people and gear into the canoes.

And we are off...

Sage
and

"The snack people"

Michel
and

Dwayne,
and

"The young explorers"

Yes Dwayne, you too. ;-)

The Guide

Dwight is
a Saskatchewan
Venice Gondolier.

He has had extensive training in Venice (Italy)

His skills haven't gone unnoticed. ;-)

But we must say that his greatest ability would be avoiding shallow water...

We are sure that Simoné and Todd can confirm you this !!!

The Journey

At the end of the morning it was time for a lunch break.

Michel loves his naps... and José does all the work. ;-)

We needed a fire to fully enjoy our lunch.

The smell of food did wake up Michel... ;-)

And it is time to move again.

Mike is checking the kids life jackets. So is John.

Canoe visiting... with that nice José & Michel's home made liqueur... :-)

Michel loves his naps... did I mention that ?

And José is very patient. ;-)

It was a wonderful day...

A 7 hours outing for 25km.

The sound of the geese is still in my ears.
