The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) is a national network of 135 branches in communities across Canada, dedicated to the promotion of the mental health of all people, and to ensuring the provision of the best possible services for people with mental health problems. The Prince Albert Branch of the CMHA was formed in 1989, and provides a range of community support services to men and women with mental health problems, as well as education and mental health promotion services. The Prince Albert Branch is also involved in advocacy for a better mental health system. One of our goals is to erase the stigma associated with mental illnesses. While effecting all walks of life, there remain myths and negative attitudes toward those with mental illness.
