Good bye Cora As of 4:00am Saturday November 7, 1998, Cora is peacefully resting. Just like every night in bed with her, I heard her last breath... something woke me up and I heard this last short breath. This has been the first peaceful moment since, a week ago, she entered a semi conscious state. Cora was diagnosed with cancer 15 months ago and she just kept going on as usual. She left gently, exactly as she hoped... in her home, in her bed, tenderly embraced by her Stevie, in the middle of the night. I never met a person that was so simple, optimistic and full of life as Cora, able to love without reservation. Cora has not left us. Like me, she believes in immortality. The immortality made of the things we did in life and the lives we touched. Stephen Serenelli Cora will be lovingly remembered by her family: her parents Hazen (Ducky) and Margaret Pond; her sister Carol (Ron) Beck, children Dan and Adam, grandchildren Adam, Jordan, Jessica, Alexandra, Kaitlin Beck; her sister Peggy (Wayne) McConechy, children David (Connie) and Suzanne (Kevin) Greenshields, grandchildren Megan and Lukas McConechy; her brother John Pond (Linda), children Rhonda, Kris, Christopher and Heather. After many years living in Italy, we enjoyed having Cora and Stephen living in Prince Albert since 1992. The family deeply appreciate the caring people who supported Cora, Stephen and the family through her illness, especially Dr. Razina Kaleem, Onnalee Stuckel R.N., Bernie Ogrodnick B.S.P. and special friends Stan and Addline Monkman. At Cora's request there will be no funeral service. Friends are invited to visit with family on Wednesday November 11, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at her parents home - 4b-516 River Street East (Riviera Condo).

Un addio a Cora Alle ore 4:00am di sabato 7 novembre, 1998, Cora ha finalmente trovato pace. Come sempre al suo fianco, a letto ho avuto modo di sentire il suo ultimo respiro... qualcosa mi ha svegliato ed ho sentito questo respiro molto breve, poi piu' nulla... e' stato il mio primo momento di sollievo dopo una settimana esatta in cui Cora era entrata in stato di semi incoscienza. Cora era stata diagnosticata con cancro 15 mesi fa e ha vissuto la sua vita esattamente come sempre. Se n'e' andata gentilmente esattamente come desiderava... in casa sua, nel suo letto, teneramente abbracciata dal suo Stevie, nel bel mezzo della notte. Non ho mai conosciuto una persona cosi semplice, ottimista e piena di vita come Cora, capace di amare senza limiti. Cora non ci ha lasciato, come me, crede nell'immortalita'. L'immortalita' fatta delle cose che abbiamo fatto nella nostra vita e il ricordo che abbiamo lasciato nelle persone che abbiamo conosciuto. Stephen Serenelli Cora e' ricordata con affetto dalla sua famiglia: i genitori Hazen (Ducky) e Margaret Pond; la sorella Carol e marito Ron Beck, dai figli Dan e Adam, dai nipoti Adam, Jordan, Jessica, Alexandra, Kaitlin Beck; la sorella Peggy e marito Wayne McConechy, dai figli David e moglie Connie, Suzanne e marito Kevin Greenshields, dai nipoti Megan e Lukas McConechy; il fratello John Pond e compagna Linda, dai figli Rhonda, Kris, Christopher e Heather. Dopo aver vissuto per molti anni in Italia, dal 1992 e' stato un piacere avere Cora e Stephen in Prince Albert. La famiglia desidera ringraziare quelle persone che sono state di aiuto e supporto a Cora, Stephen e la famiglia durante la malattia di Cora ed in particolare Dr. Razina Kaleem, Onnalee Stuckel (infermiera), Bernie Ogrodnick (farmacista) e gli speciali amici Stan e Addline Monkman (vicini di casa e di cuore). Come per richiesta di Cora non ci sara' servizio funebre. Gli amici sono invitati ad un rinfresco con la famiglia, mercoledi' 11 novembre, dalle 15:00 alle 17:00 nella casa dei genitori - 4b-516 River Street East (Riviera Condo).
