  • SUMMER FAIR 1996
    July 22nd to July 27th
  • (For more articles on PAEX click HERE)

The P.A. Exhibition Association has again come up with something new for the 1996 Annual Summer Fair. Don't worry, they'll be bringing back all your favourite shows and exhibits. There will still be Chuckwagon Races, a Seniors Drop In Centre, Raffles and a Youth Talent Search. There will also be a great Midway and this area has just been covered in pavement. Won't it be great to walk around the rides without the dust and not having to struggle pushing a stroller or wheelchair. Who can resist the attraction of the Exhibition Parade. Starting at 10:00 am on Monday July 22nd, the parade is sure to put everyone into “Fair” spirits. The hardest part is waiting until July 22nd and trying to guess what the PAEX will come up with next.

    Bicycle Week - July 22 to 28
Prince Albert... Bike it, you'll like it!

This Summer Don't Forget Your Spare Wheel

Everyone is invited to leave the car at home for a week to experience the summer sounds and smell the flowers while riding your bicycle to work, running errands or out with the family.

If you bike to the Summer Fair (July 22-July 27), bicycle parking is available at the West Gate, remember to bring your lock.

JULY 22 at 9:00am pedal downtown with your family and friends to view the Prince Albert Exhibition/Dief's Chiefs Parade.

Cycling is a fun way to get around in the summer and if you don't do it now, when can you do it? Just remember that a bicycle is a vehicle and cyclists must obey the road code. Make sure your cycle is always in good riding condition and if you ride at night, have lights and reflectors. There is nothing more liberating than a pleasant ride around the quieter city streets and you'll have time to stop and chat with anyone you meet along the way. Still standing there? Go and get your bike!
