CT ABDOMEN and PELVIS (Dynamic)

Axial 10 mm cuts were obtained from the diaphragm down to the symphysis pubis during the dynamic intravenous administration of 100 cc Optiray 320.

The Four originally described liver lesions had, on 28 November, measured 12, 16, 16 and 14 mm respectively. These have increased in size since, now measuring 22, 21, 22 and 22mm. I mentioned another couple of lesions, new on the last scan, further down in the right hepatic lobe. Unfortunately I cannot definitely give a comparison size value now, as I cannot quite tell which of these are which now, with up to a dozen new lesions lower in the right hepatic lobe. There are 1 or 2 higher up in the liver now, new since November, unfortunately.

The right hydronephrosis is about the same as it was, and this relates to the tumor recurrence in the right pelvis. The latter appears only marginally bigger than on 28 November. A colostomy is also now seen in the left iliac fossa, new in the last few months.

The abdominal scan necessarily includes a couple of slices through the very bases of the lungs. Image 2 shows a couple of new 6 or 7 mm nodules, one in the right middle lobe and one in the anteromedial basal segment of the lower lobe. Their appearance, with the clinical background means that these are almost certainly also metastatic.
