Report from Saskatoon Cancer Centre
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada

NEW MEDICAL ONCOLOGY CONSULTATION: Dr. O. Keller

Mr. Serenelli was seen today for a review of an adenocarcinoma of the left colon.

Mr. Serenelli relates a history of crampy left lower quadrant pain in November. It was not accompanied by any bleeding. He has been actively fit and is a long distance runner. He has no major problems and has no evidence of any other surgical conditions.

No allergies. He is a non-smoker and non-drinker. There may be family members, however, with colon cancer.

On examination he was in no apparent distress. Head and neck examination revealed no lymphadenopathy or goiter. Chest was clear. Cardiovascular system examination was normal. Abdominal revealed a soft abdomen, no organomegaly or mass tenderness. There was a well-healed surgical scar. There was no seeding to scar margins or ascites.

DISPOSITION

Mr. Serenelli has a B2 colon cancer, T3, N0, M0, that may be amenable to our immunotherapy program. I have given him information about this program and will await his decision whether he would like to enroll on the trial.

Follow-up will be arranged pending his decision.

Dr. Oliver Keller, MD, FRCP(C), Medical Oncologist
