the men's race, Alan Culpepper, Meb Keflezighi and Abdi Abdirahman
ran together in the early stages.

Keflezighi pulled away just before the sixth mile and won in 42:49,
the second-fastest U.S. time ever run on this course.

Culpepper ran in the lead pack early on but lost contact for good
around five miles.

Culpepper
wound up third in 43:33. He gained on Abdirahman (2nd, 43:29) at
the end but was unable to catch him.

Cosey finished seventh in 45:05.

Hellebuyck, 41, won the masters race in 45:20 and finished 10th
