MEN'S PHOTOS

Runners head out on the 6,000m course.
The women's course is two nearly-identical loops of a large field...
...and not as hilly as the men's course.
Around 2.5K, Kim Smith was out front on her own, as expected.
Smith had won each of her three previous NCAA titles with the same tactic.
Colorado's Renee Metivier gave chase but couldn't quite keep pace with Smith.
Metivier and Smith were both running for teams who were hoping to knock off #1 Stanford.
Laura Turner and Carol Henry lead Danette Doetzel, Alicia Craig, and others.
#325 Cassie Hunt leads #82 Angela Homan.
Providence's Fiona Crombie had looked strong all season long.
Boston College's Maria Cicero.
Kentucky's Allison Grace.
Michigan State's Caitlin Kelly.
Illinois' Jaime Turilli.
Colorado's Liza Pasciuto went out relatively conservatively and moved up.
Wichita State's Desiraye Osborne.
Notre Dame's Lauren King.
At approximately 4.5K, Kim Smith continued to lead.
Smith won her fourth NCAA title (but her first cross country title).
Colorado's Renee Metivier runs in second place.
