Ramsey Kavan continued to run in third, but all of the gaps up front began to grow.
Whitney Anderson ran in fourth just past two miles. The three runners in front of her...
...already had experience at this event. Anderson, a newcomer, was holding her own.
Brittany Tinsley, another newcomer, was also running well with about a mile to go.
Zoe Nelson, the 2002 champion, had already decided to attend the University of Oregon next year.
