Jessica Hellender won the Florida 4A State Meet in 18:19, but Elly Kabboord in 2A (17:59) and Kara Scanlin in 1A (17:20) ran faster times in winning the other races. She stepped it up when she needed to, finishing 6th at the Foot Locker South Regional in 17:43 and earning her first trip to the National Finals.
