Brian Dalpiaz has had a nearly flawless season so far. He won the New York Class B State Championship November 3 and followed that up one week later with a win at the State Federation Meet. He ran with the lead pack at the Foot Locker Northeast Regional and entered the home stretch in second place. He misjudged the finish line, dropping from second to fifth, but his 15:36 run was good enough to qualify him for his first National Finals. Dalpiaz finished 32nd at last year's Northeast Regional.

Other Notes:
...Dalpiaz ate salmon instead of turkey on Thanksgiving in preparation for the Northeast Regional. He follows a strict protein-rich diet... Trained around 75 miles per week to prepare for cross country season...
