Andy Weilacher (3rd, Northeast)

Hometown: Russell, PA
High School: Eisenhower High School
Year of Graduation: 2002

This two-time Pennsylvania AA State Cross Country Champion ran one of the best races of his life to earn a spot at the 2001 Foot Locker National Finals. Unfortunately, he sustained serious injuries in a car accident just nine days before Nationals and will be unable to compete. He reportedly did damage to two vertebrae and sustained a head bruise. He has begun physical therapy and is hoping for a full recovery. Weilacher's teammate, Matthew Allenson, was also in the car and sustained a spinal cord injury. We wish both young men the best of luck in their recovery.
