Fast-Women.com: How did the race go?
Ramsey Kavan:
I felt pretty fatigued. I just ran as relaxed as I could. I told my coach before the race that I was going to run as hard [as I could] and be happy with what I got, and I am.

FW: Did you feel tired while you were warming up?
RK:
I didn't feel too bad. I felt a little spring in my step. I was hoping that last week wouldn't hinder me or anything and I don't think it did. I ran as hard as I could. I felt a little fatigued on the hills. It was a good race.

FW: Did the pace feel really fast at the beginning?
RK:
No, I didn't feel the pace was really fast compared to last year, really. In the middle, I started to feel it more and drop back a little ways.

FW: Are you happy with third place?
RK:
Yeah, I'm really happy with that. I closed the season pretty well and I'm looking forward to track this spring and running in college next year.

FW: What schools are you interested in?
RK:
I'm not sure. I'm still looking into it.

FW: What events will you run in track?
RK:
I like to run any distance events. I sometimes run the 400. I sometimes run the 800. Mostly I run the 1,600 and 3,200, because those are mostly the distances.

FW: Do you think you will run some of the big invitational?
RK:
Yeah, I would really like to go back to Golden West this year and possibly [the adidas Outdoor Championships].
