Hamilton graduate Amanda Chase joins ZAP Fitness
The ZAP Fitness Elite Athlete Program (Blowing Rock, North Carolina) is announcing the addition of another post collegiate runner to its program. Amanda Chase, a Lyon Mountain, New York, native and Hamilton College (New York) graduate, has been accepted into ZAPs coveted resident program.
Chase, 22, showed promise as a collegian; however, it was her first year as a post collegiate athlete in 2003-2004 where she caught the eye of the elite running community. Upon graduating from Hamilton in 2003, Chases 1,500m best was 4:36. One year later Chase has now run 4:22 and is already eying the 2008 U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials. The addition of Chase brings to eight the total number of athletes in the ZAP program. We are very excited to have Amanda joining the team, said ZAP President and Co-Founder Zika Palmer. Clearly she has only begun to scratch the surface of her talents. I know she will fit in well here.
