Wolfpack to Send Trio to USA Cross Country Championships
Lucas, Hall and Hull to compete

NC State will send three runners to compete at the 2003 USA Cross Country Championships in Houston, Texas February 15th and 16th. Freshmen Julia Lucas and Lance Hall will compete in the Junior race, and Lucinda Hull will compete in the Senior race.

Lucas made an immediate impact on the women's team this past fall, running second or third in the pack most of the season. Her best performance of the year came at the Adidas Invitational, where she finished third.

Hall and Hull each ran in the Great American Championships during the fall. Hall placed 10th in the open men's open race, and Hull finished 11th in the women's open race.

The trio of runners will vie for a spot on the 2003 USA World Cross Country Championships teams with competition along the legendary Buffalo Bayou course. The top six finishers in the Open and Junior races are eligible to compete at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland.
