Tirunesh Dibaba pulls away from her older sister. Ejegayehu Dibaba was caught in no-(wo)man's land once she dropped back from Tirunesh, and she fell off pace dramatically. Sara Slattery ran a solid time in this race (15:37.68 to take third) but still got lapped by Tirunesh Dibaba. Sharon Dickie-Thompson also ran well (15:46.11) to finish fourth.
