Athletes gradually fell off the back of the pack, and just under 20 minutes into the race, the lead pack was down to four athletes. Amy Mortimer runs in fifth place, ahead of Carrie Tollefson, Emilie Mondor, and Sylvia Mosqueda. Carrie Tollefson - who usually runs a maximum of 5,000 meters on the track - runs in sixth place. Sylvia Mosqueda (right) and Emilie Mondor run 7-8 in the fourth mile. A wheelchair competitor makes the turn onto the Harvard Bridge to head back over into Boston. McGregor was a top runner for the University of Michigan, and she now lives in Minneapolis and runs for Team USA Minnesota.
