Colleen De Reuck had a great race to finish second in 26:49. Sara Slattery, 24, was in third place heading into the homestretch, but she was caught by her former CU teammate, Renee Metivier. Slattery finished fourth in 27:01 and qualified for the World Cross Country team. Renee Metivier kicked well to finish third in 26:59. Katie McGregor finished fifth in 27:04 and was able to hold on to a spot on the team.

Sharon Dickie-Thompson qualified for her first World Cross Country team by finishing sixth in 27:14. Nicole Aish finished seventh in 27:24 and appears to have narrowly missed qualifying for the World Cross Country Championships. Not all of the runners in the top six always take their spots on the team, and Aish will be the first alternate in line. Chelsea McKell ran well to finish eighth in 27:32. Samia Akbar ran a strong race to finish ninth in 27:42.
