Stephanie Madia stayed with the leaders but didn't do a lot of the pacing work, which seems to have worked to her advantage in the end. Molly Huddle made an impressive return to the top ranks after missing track season with an injury. Aly Kohlmeier had an impressive performance, and moved up to third by the finish.
