Jelena Prokopcuka, a four-time Olympian for Latvia, finished second in 32:18. 2004 World Cross Country champion Benita Johnson of Australia took third in 32:24. Loroupe, who is always a crowd favorite, had a great race to finish fourth in 32:52.
